Manouri is a traditional Greek cheese of protected designation of origin (PDO) and is made from 100% Greek goat's and sheep's milk. It belongs to whey cheese and is made in our country since antiquity. The name of the cheese comes from the word "manos" which means "sparse".

It is a soft cheese with a creamy texture and a special aroma, while its taste is sweet and mild .. Its color is white and has a cylindrical shape. It is considered the most exquisite whey cheese, while it has been characterized by the "National Dairy Committee of Greece" as "the most excellent traditional Greek whey cheese".

Manouri is consumed mainly as table cheese, while it also accompanies oily dishes, as well as feta. Its most common use, however, is as a dessert accompanied by fruits, honey and nuts. It can also be used in pies, tarts, salads and desserts.
